Overview All FE providers including independent learning providers (ILPs) are required to comply with statutory duties on preventing extremism. Ofsted have included compliance with the Prevent Duty and the use of opportunities to promote British values with students, trainees and apprentices in their inspections for several months and there is now explicit reference to this in the new Ofsted handbook for use from September 2015.
