Effective practice in the delivery and teaching of English and Mathematics to 16-18 year olds

Research exploring effective practice in the teaching English and maths.
The findings cover: effective teaching, college leadership, workforce issues and engaging students.  While the study focussed on 16-19 students the findings will lend insight which could be transferred to teaching adults.
The research shows the challenges FE institutions have in addressing the English and maths condition of funding, most notably teaching GCSE to those who got a D after years of schooling.
